a what is it from the local pound shop, is it actually labelled as insect remover? I assume it doesn't ruin the paintwork.

Halfords do something similar, squirty bottle to apply it, then rinse off as you wash the `van.
Anyway, are you boasting about actually having squashed bugs on the front of your `van

Didn`t think a camper would go that fast

Simple Green works for me. Best in cool of morning in shaded area. Spray it on and let it set for awhile, then wash with good sponge or cloth and rinse off. Also good on underbody and tyres so mud will come off later... spray it on clean surface and let it dry. Makes a film that mud doesn't stick to as well.

autoglym, instant tar remover this stuff is beyond amazing! will remove anything
Though id prescribe a course of ......
1)pre rinse with super snow foam
2)rinse
3)two bucket method with lambswool wash mitts
4) pat dry with micro fibre waffle weave with QD as a lube
5)clay with QD and tar remover
6)wash again as above and dry
7)cut with ip 3.02 broken down
8)cut with ff till broken down
9)meguiars number 7 show shine
10)selad with meguiars 21 selanat
11) top with 2 cotas 24hrs apart of collinite 347
should be ok by then

I soak kitchen roll in fairlywicked and water (strong mix) and then lay the paper on the bugs.
The paper towel stays moist and therefore the bugs get moist (can I say in front of the kids?).
After 15 mins just wipe away.
Incedentially the same technique is good with paint stripper (not for bugs for "feck" sake!).

I think I'm going to try the bug remover and the moist towel methods and see which is easiest (and cheapest

)

As mines only a 1.6 diesel, i find most of the flies and bugs stuck to the back door.

bugs stuck to the back door
- go to the nearest Hardly Dangerous bike shop, you can buy packets of stick on bugs.
That's the only way that tractor riders get them on their bikes.
I've just reread GTI Mad Man's post. It like a foreign language.
What chuff is collinite, it sounds like something from womens legs.
