If i was to look at a car that had the possibilty of having a AAZ or a 1Z engine in - would i be able to tell that it was an AAZ because it has a mechanical fuel pump ?

Is it as simple as that?

I dont want to end up buying a 1Z...

Thanks

intercooler piping should be a give away.Usual goes about a mile over the other side of the engine bay to under a wheel arch or similar, then all the way back again!

also on the pump theres not much gubbins,a black box on it with a black cable coming off it,from memory.
