Hi,

anybody help me out with finding some downloadable instructions for this timer....

I've got the analogue one in at the moment and want to swap it over.

Anyone know what sort of current draw this will put on the battery - I guess it will have to be a live circuit that's not off the ignition?

i have this timer on mine, its quite rare, but very easy to use.

I dont have the destructions for it, sorry

When you power up wit will flash "8888" the first thing you need to do is pull the little lever under the bottom towards you, and at the same time press wither of the two arrow buttons to set the time ( its 24hr format)
You then let go of the lever under the bottom, the time is set.

To set a timer time, press the clock button, and select the time you want with the arrow buttons, a dot will appear on the far left of the readout, there are three dots, one for each timer you can set. Top middle and bottom. As this is a single day timer, the time you select for it to switch the heater on will happen only once , and it will be the next time the time passes the time you have selected. You will need to press the clock button to activate the selected timer programme each day you require it, once it has happened the dot blonging to that programme will disappear.

If you wish for instant start up you press the flame button, and the heater will run for 60 mins from the time you press the flame button, and then switch off.

mine is on a DL1C and plugged in to the loom next to the rheostat, and unless the rheostat is switched on the time is not displaying the time, nor will the heater start, but the timer will switch on at its alloted time - nothing else will happen if you have not selected the heat setting with the rheostat first. The battery drain is less that 0.5amp and i tend to have my rheostat switched to 2 all the time, giving me a illuminated clock at night in the back of the camper - i suffer no battery issues doing this. If you want the clock not to be illuminated, switch the rheostat off.

the connection will be 4 wires, red= +12vdc brown is -12vdc yellow is to control the heater, purple is from the heater to display the time- you can feed this from a perm +12vdc feed to have the clock illuminated all the time if you wish.
