Has anyone replaced a high top with a pop top?
Thinking about ripping off the high top on my Autohomes Kameo
and fitting a Westy style pop top,
Is it possible or is it a nightmare and should i not even go there.
Thanks

Find any post from Jed the Spread and simply check out his web blogg.
He went from a pop top to a high top so perhaps if you throw some questions his way he may be pleased to help....

Have you spoken to LANCE on here?
He makes fibreglass roofs etc. I think he is also interested in old roofs as jigs?

maybe worth remembering tho that the westy s had a special roof pressing from the factory so the upper bed floor (if that makes sense) will need some bodgerey!!

Why would you want to do that? I have (once in the past) done it the other way round but the Karisma/Kameo hi-top is the only one I know of that considered 'aerodynamics' in the design. Sell it and get a pop top otherwise you risk devaluing the van. If you feel confident of a good job go ahead, could always sell the top if it's undamaged. When I did mine I was suprised at how heavy the pop top actually was.

Thanks for all your comments.. Decided to keep the roof as it is and maybe sell the van at a later date and look for a pop top model.
