I've just contacted my insurers (footman James) to increase the agreed mileage & to find out how to put an agreed valuation on my van.

apparently i have to fill out a form & take some photos - not too difficult!
but then they said that i have to tell them what I think my van is worth I have no idea!

its currently insured for the condition i bought it in and for the purchase price.

but since then she's had a full respray; had all of new door rubbers; new wheels; complete interior including r&r bed, wardrobe unit, cupboards, sink, fridge, cooker; cab carpet & new flooring

do I just pluck a figure out of thin air???? - she's worth squillions to me & I don't want to under insure her.
I was going to ask the garage I use to give a valuation but apparently their not allowed to as they've worked on the vehicle

anyone on here have any Idea what she's worth? (pics in gge)

Maybe simpler if you insure for what it would cost you to buy a similar van in same condition as yours if the worst ever happened (heaven forbid).

Should get a good idea by looking at adverts, vans at shows or on sale at dealers.

IMHO factors such as private enthusisatic and knowledgable owner, history, knowledge of rectified problems, care, etc make private vans more desirable than vans that are imported by dealers.

Don't under-insure.

If you ever have to find a replacement van, sods law is that they are hard to find in the condition that you want
