Hi all. I have heard something about a hammock that fits above the front seats. Anyone seen them? Any good? and anyone got any pictures of one fitted?
Thanks. :D

They are good for an extra sleeping place for a kiddie, several people use them, two metal rods resting on cup shaped hooks attatchd to the doors, strong materail slung between. I think JK do them but same folks make their own.

I have a Blue Bird Hammock fitted in the front of my Westy.

However they advise you to fix it to the A and B frames and that it will fit.....It does in a Bay but not in a T25.
My daughter sleeps in the hammock and says it really comfy, she's 5 now but had she have been a baby I would still have put her up there. We devised a curtain to go across the front seats so she could go to sleep in her own little cocoon.

Others have bought them from JK as cate said and I think they are a better fit for a T25.

Personally, I am thinking of adapting mine so it will fit just below the windows, means getting the sewing machine out but is all good experience.

Lots of others have bought and home made ones in their vans, if you need pics, pm me and I'll send some off to you.

Our daughter has slept in this for the last 3 years - she's 6 now. The older lads have also slept in it on occasion. We made one ourselves from an old caravan bunk and some thrown away adjustable awning poles. The material has taken a hammering and since been replaced with a strong cotton (found 4 kids sitting in it playing cards). We placed it low so that should anyone fall out, they'd survive unbruised. It just clears the steering wheel comfortably......and she sleeps a treat in it......
