Hello everyone.
How often should the old girl be serviced? I have always assumed that it should not only be based on the number of miles, but in what form. That is to say that, for example, 1000 mls covered in long motorway trips is entirely different to the same mileage covered nipping to the shops or picking up the kids from school ie., stop-start. In the same time-span obviously.
She had a recon engine fitted about 30,000 mls ago (5 yrs ago). The prop-shalft (drive-shaft?) has been disconnected by the previous owner due to "bind/wind?" and I shall be attending (not me personally, but some garage who know what they're doing) to that little problem in the Autumn when the vehicle comes back into my possession after 3 long years in the hands of a relative (long story).
Not only I am disabled, but (obvious to you guys no doubt) know sod all about the mechanics about vehicles, being a pen-pusher in my previous life.
Kind regards and thank you all for the wonderful topics/posts which I have found so interesting.
Eric Jonson.
