removing a turbo

Is there anything I need to think about when removing a turbo from a 1.6TD? Is it just a case of removing the oil feed and undoing the bolts? It appears to have bolts on the back which are paired by curved plates (you'll know what I mean if you have ever looked!)

Is this all that holds it in place?

Think about rust, you will find that the studs and nuts are very rusty and therefore form a challenge.

Pre-soaking with a penetrating agent of your choice (WD40, PlusGas, Diesel, vinegar, etc) will help.

Good quality six point sockets or flank drive spanners are also a must.

I took mine off and sheared one stud in the process (I ran it with that broken stud for about two years).
