I have a new vege 16td engine just gone to change the oil and found the drain plug is an 18 mm spanner size i am sure the old one was not 18 mm has anyone elce come across this. If so is it right and will the copper washer fit Thanks

If it comes out and goes back in then I can't see an issue.

The head size doesn't directly effect the thread size.

It may even have been re tapped.
