hi,
Just discovered that autoglym bumper care gel also brings faded red westfalia roofs back to life. Don't know how long it'll last but only cost 6 quid and looks all shiny and red (much better that matt pink)
Can't take full credit as the idea was given to me by another westy owner at deepdale last week, thought it might be useful.

I'm afraid wax isn't possible as Auto Glym Bumper Care is sorta Wet Look that you have to leave on once applied.
I've been spreading the word for the last year...this is the best product for those dull westy PopTops but needs re-applying every few months.

OK ...if you really want a spotlessly clean and glossy finish then wet the roof, scrub the whole thing with a cheapo Tesco All-purpose cleaner (Tesco value) or equivelent liquid (this will lift off the grime but don't let it dry)......Bought myself a small Karcher pressure washer recently so then Jetted off the All Purpose cleaner (a powerful spray jet on a garden hose would do)
The roof will look clean but dry matt finish.
Now apply the Auto Glym Bumper care and WOW!
Did mine last weekend, took about an hour.
