Hi folks. I have a new issue with my van whereby as soon as I have started it up and pulled away - the needle shoots straight up and the red led flashes. Other times the needle stays in the middle and the light just flashes.

I am not losing and coolant.

The heater/blower in the dash blows hot once the engine has warmed up.

I am confused - please help!

mine did that when the water level in the header tank was too low. try topping it up. There is a level sensor in there.

its possible one of the sensors is nacked.or the wire on the sensor has furred up.where it pushes on.causing a bad connection..
