My clutch tend to shudder when hill starting (also in reverse) It also intermitantly makes a (sort of ) brief grinding noise/vibration when setting of in 1st - the more welly you give it the more it does it. It some times doesnt fully disingage so there is a slight creeping forward action when 1st gear is selected but clutch pedal is pressed in- this mostly happens when after a few miles 9when engine is hot)h. Other than this it operates fine.
Any ideas, anybody.

in my opinion you need a new friction disk, mine had warn through so it was doing similar, the self adjusting clutch cannot adjust anymore.
if you do change the clutch makesure you replace the driveshaft bolts with star or torx bolts as the allen ones will most likely be round in the inside and possibly need grinding off. also be aware that the gearbox is heavy the best way of removal and replacement I found was to support the gearbox from inside the engine bay whilst someone guides if off the bolts then you lower it, it is quite heavy.

Could be alsorts but could be spigot shaft bearing.
