Water in footwells!!!

Hi,
Does anybody else have the same problem as me with water in the front footwells of a T25?? It is coming in from somewhere and dripping onto the metal cross bar that goes across the front of the van just above the fuse assembly. I have tried the usual suspects...ie. all seals around wiper motors, washer jets etc. Could it be windscreen rubber?
But it happens on 2 of my vans in the same place. Is it a usual problem?

Any help??

Thanks

Lloydie

there's usually a rusty seam and a hole when you take the screen out too. :(

We have exactly the same problem.....
I tried with the wife in the van as spotter and used the hose from all angles at the drivers door seal. She wasn't needed as the waterfall that sprayed in was quite entertaining. The door seal had compressed (gone flat) in various places but especially the front edge in front of the window where the water just pi££ed in. You could slide a credit card with no resistance from the seal around the door frame in a few places.
We now have two new seals going on next week.......but will probably find it was the windscreen seal after all....... :?

I dont think its the door rubbers in our case. I have put new ones on one of the vans. This seems to be coming from above fuse assembly and running along the crossmember depending on which way the van is parked and then running down under the rubber matting. I'm just waiting to do a Barney Rubble and start peddling on the ground as my floor disappears!!!
Think i will try the windscreen option......

We had the same problem as well when we got the van 7 Years ago, used to dribble more on the drivers side.

Only thing that worked was to cut the spout on the silicon gun to give the smallest hole then shove it between the frame & the rubber. Do it all the round as the water could be getting in any where then collecting at the bottom.

Saying that it is best to take out the window out & take a look as just had mine replaced due to a crack & theres a rust in each corner. Best to catch it before the whole things rusts through. The window fitter took about 20 mins in & out but was not impressed with the amount of silicone which stuck the rubber in!
