And also has anyone got any tips for removing a window and keep in it one piece?

I need to put the good window from my old style tailgate into my new, better new style door. That make any sense?

Simplest way to get the window out in one piece is to use a stanley knife to cut the outter part rubber widow seal, but you will neeed a new seal to re fit the window.

Then when re fitting use a good length of sash cord pushed into the gap on the reverse side of the seal once it is fitted to the glass. you will also need someone to hold the screen against the vehicle while you are inside pulling the loose ends of the cord so that the seal is lifted over the lip where the glass sits..

The screen can be helped into place by banging the flat of your hand close to the seal as you go along.

Alternatively grab an autoglass fitter when you are out on the road, it will take him minutes and should only cost couple of quid.

And yes the glass is the same size for all the range of T25 transporters with a tail gate.

Ta!

Problem is that the good seal is on the good window in the bad door.

The 'new' back door was a freebie and the last owner cut something with an angle grinder to close and the window/ rubber is embedded with rust...

Once i get the good window out i'll just break the crappy one to remove it, should make it easyier to bin as well!
