Hi everyone out there, the summers here. please could any one help me with recommendation as to what steering wheel will fit my 1988 transporter...the present one is falling away off the rim and i rather fancy replacing it with a standard rim size, not the huge one as standard fitted
thanks for your help and enjoy the sun

the "huge" one is fitted for a reason on non powersteering vans.. fit a smaller one and see.. thats ok if you have large forearms and nobody used to modern cars drives it..

Oh and another annoying thing is if you fit a smaller steering wheel (I have one I think from a Golf) and you are tall-ish you can't see the indicator lamp, or the full beam light...

A steering wheel from a PAS assisted T25 Caravelle GL/Carat/Vanagon is 420mm.Not much difference size wise to the standard non-PAS wheel(approx 30mm in diameter)but it's padded for extra comfort, you can still see the clocks and the warning lights...plus you can fit a Disklok over it for added security.
