Hi

I'm following GTI madman's fridge removal and have got it out ok, (fridge wasn't working prior), and i have no power coming to the attached cable :(
The water pump works off the same switch but i'm now stuck.
Can anyone steer me toward an idiotproof wiring diagram??
Cheers

darius72.

If we are talking 12 volts here, then normally the fridge only gets a 12 v supply when the engine is running (via a relay) as the current needed by the fridge would flatten a battery rather quickly.

Water pump off same switch........... :?:

can you post up a little bit more info on yr fridge, model etc, is it a 3 way
ie 12v - 240v - gas. or is it just 12v = gas,
you say its connected to a power lead that feeds your pump, (is that your water pump) 12v. if it is then the reason your fridge wont work on power is a 12v batery will not be able to run it. A fridge will take full 8 amps. You need a split charge relay, you will find all this information in the Wikki on how to wire in a split charge relay to power your fridge when engine is running only. forget about GTI Madman ask up about your own problem, why have you taken the fridge out in the first place?????

Hi

It's an RM122, and wont light on gas. I did'nt realise that the relay cut 12v power once the engine was off :? and i have been trying to find the supply. Now i know this i can look at the gas supply and thermocouple.
cheers

darius72,

This is in the wiki, different model, but probably very similar.
