I bought a webber carb for my 1.9 DG autobox which was running lpg, but stalling all the time, on advice from the fitter. It made absolutely no difference to anything, plus it sits higher than the standard carb, and meant that the lpg ring thing had to be moved onto the air filter. All a horrible bodge and waste of money. if the carb is working, it wont make any difference, of course if it is shot to pieces then it will be much better. I was hoping for more performance, but got none, and no more economy. I would now fit a pair of 36 dellortos or similar on T3 manifolds (variant) as suggested by engine builder laurie.

Still worth having a word with Laurie though. He pops up now and then on this forum. Try PM -ing him for a chat
Have been thinking about this route too...but with the dellorto's NOT the Weber.
Cheers
