where are you?
if you're anywhere in sussex I can recommend a car locksmith who will come to the vehicle, you show him evidence that the vehicle is yours then he will swiftly enter the vehicle with no damage, (its frightening how fast) whip out the lock and cut a key there and then.
ask at your local motor factors they should be able to put you in touch with someone. This works for any vehicle.

I appologise if I sound nasty here but....
BLOODY HELL....

A chap (or chapess) with no previous postings asks how to get keys cut for a van and gets good advice!!!!!!

Now I realise if this person was a thief they would probably have no problem getting in, but to post how bad some VW locks are on a public forum is a bit daft.

We often say dont discuss antitheft devices on open forums, so WHY this.
Sir Chad has it spot on IMHO.
rant over.

Well said Sir Chad & Tony Tech. :ok

Last time I said the same thing on the 80-90 forum I got shot down in flames by certain members. :(

I see where your coming from, to be honest i wouldn't want people knowing how to get into my van either. However, sadly in life where there is a will there is a way.

I'm new to the forum as i've not long had the van and been working on it with the aid of just reading your forum when I had questions. It's only since i've done something really dopey and ringing my local VW dealer was like smashing my face into a brick wall that I came to ask questions.

Dont worry this wont be the only question. I have a long way to go with this van to make it run and look as well as i want it too.
