Hi All,
I thought that this may be some use to us all at some stage :D
And I am not sure if its in the right place but seeing as it is technical in a strange, wierd and wonderful way here we go. :?
I needed to change the gearbox oil and thought that I dont want to be lying on my back squeezing a poxy little bottle.
I dont have an electric pump set up so I did this :D

Used a pop 2 litre bottle so I didnt have to pour it bit at a time :D

Worked a treat :D :D :D :D :D :D

bit longer length of garden hose + funnel or inverted empty gear oil container with botton cut off + peice of string to tie it up against rear air engine vent and you dont have to do it crawling around underneath!

Works a treat! Same "divice" can do the front too...

Just route it so it keeps going downward with no up hill sections...

And into the filler...

Store your oil pots in warm water before you start and it'll flow much faster!

Also gear oil related, my specal shortened drain plug key (lower right) so I can drain the gearbox without removing the engine bashplate (You don't remove late diesel bashplates unless theres apsolutely no other option - takes ages)

i use the funnel and hosepipe device too, but go in through the engine bay, and the funnel sits nicely between the air filter and the firewall, and is deffo all downhill.............

cant find anywhere to pour oil in the front tho.........

specal shortened drain plug
from memory on the syncro I used a 17mm(?) Nut and bolt, did the nut all the way up, the chopped off the rest of the threaded bolt to make a short one then 17mm spanner on one half. On the petrol it fouls the exhaust.
