Hi,
I just completed putting a good 1,6 TD in my '90 vanagon, and it will start and run, but when i put it in gear it will barely move....and then dies.
What are the possible solutions to this problem?
- crank-belt 1 notch wrong (could that be the issue)
- Turbo?
- Diesel pump
.
.
.

Thx,

Dave

Can you rev it? It could be throttle setting to low.

Could be a simple as getting the banjo's the wrong way round on the fuel pump. They are different. The inlet is bigger than the outlet and when they are the wrong way round not a lot happens due to lack of fuel...

Not that i would know of course

Yeah, it throttles ok.....it just doesn't have any power. It feels like the engine doesn't have any compression.....
Any ideas?
