Camper interiors - Yorkshire area?

Hi there

New to the site and looking for advice please! We have a lovely 1983 T25 Autosleeper conversion (called Arthur!) with a poptop. We live in Hull and are having great trouble finding anyone who will work on the interior of the van. It needs the wastepipe from the sink fixing as there is a leak, new brackets for the water tank as they have rusted and I desperately want to get some lap belts fitted in the back. I have called everyone I can find and no one is interested in working on an 'older' van and they won't touch the seatbelts as they have to be done to certain regulations to pass the MOT. My only option at the moment is to drive the van all the way to Suffolk where some fellow VW owners know a garage that will fit the lap belts. So if anyone knows where I might be able to get this kind of work done that is any closer to Yorkshire than Suffolk, please please let me know!

Thanks

Lizzie & Andy

hi and welcome to the club! fitting lap belts is not a major job, the waste pipe and tank brackets are nowt either!

you could try the hebie hospital in leeds, on dolly lane,

if you wanted to have a go your self the hardest part really is to find the lap belts!

I am sure that Continental Autospares, who also have a workshop, will sort you out. Done a brilliant and reasonably priced job on my van!
(01904) 610286. Can't find website at the mo but you may be able to google it.
As DD said, the jobs you mention are really quite simple. Have a go and ask on here for advice!

Thanks for all your suggestions I will check them out. Some horrible people broke into our van last night so now we've got even more damage to fix. They tried to hotwire it however as we hadn't driven it for a while the battery had gone flat so they didn't get very far
