No lights in dash pod

Can anyone on this forum tell me if the dash pod is a nightmare job to replace bulbs on? I have no lights in dash apart from hazard switch and a light in my glove box. Are new bulbs easy to get hold of?

Remove the instrument binacle & the protective plastic sheet beneath it. There are 3 bulbs, one each for speedo, warning lamps & fuel gauge. The bulbs need to be turned through 90 degrees to remove them. I needed pliers to remove the bulbs in my van!

The bulbs are available from Brickwerks @ £1.18 each (incl.VAT). I bought 2 last week & they go in a lot easier the old ones came out. :D

I've been fiddling with mine this afternoon. Oo'er Missus!

The middle bulb doesn't light up even though I know that the bulb is ok.
I wondered if it is a spare but it is wired up in a proper bulb holder so that seems unlikely. Just got to get the fuel gauge working now. :(

As described before about removal

LED's from Maplins 5mm fit & work fine in the indcator panel, they have positive and negetive side so will only work if inserted the correct way, same with the clock / display ones.
I went on Fleabay and got LED's for the clock / display lights (286) comes to mind, check on wiki.

Before you go spending pennies just check the PCB, these babies are getting on now and the circuit board jobby has a tendency to break. It is repairable, if you are going to through it away I will send you my address.

It is not always the connection but the actual run itself, have a gentle prod whilst plugged in and ignition on and possibly something my flash. If so note the place, remove and check it.
To repair it there are 2 ways, solder the joint or put a link over the whole run.

Have fun Kris
