tank location

hi
anyone had a conversion done in a trident. looking for ideas on where to site tank for minimum loss of storage or destruction.

Usual place (in camper) for cylinder tanks is under seat/bed and most have torroidal tanks in wardrobe but wardrobe space is compromised. I have a cylinder tank in wardrobe, very low profile and still useable. Just uploaded pic in 'garage' but haven't refitted wardrobe yet.

Has anyone considered putting a torroidal tank in place of the spare wheel?

Hi mines a trident.
tank is under the back seat/bed.
I moved the bed bulkhead forward to accommodate the tank

We have a trident with the gas tank fitted nicely in the wardrobe - minimal destruction required - in fact you would never know it had been done from the outside. With a clever bit of jiggery pokery you can have the top bit of the wardrobe with a shelf in.
Where the mattress slips under the wardrobe (what is that all about - you can't use it anyway) you could trim the foam and re stitch the outer cover (my missus did the seamstress bit very nicely).
If your van is a Hi Top you will be spoilt for storage anyway - we NEVER used the wardrobe anyway - we don't miss it - the underseat storage on a trident is much more useful IMHO. We have cut a door to access it into the front panel of the seat so you don't have to lift up to access.

I'm with Mikey. We have a donut tank in the back wardrobe that we never use. Under the seat is crammed with stuff like chairs etc

I forgot to mention - we considered that losing 6 inches of floorspace to fit the tank under was a bad idea (for us) - the biggest benefit of the t25 conversion is the floorspace with the pass seat swivelled.
Makes it great for the little un(s) to play in on a wet day - and for nappy changing, meals (not at the same time) etc.
