Caliper confusion

My 84 1.9 caravelle needs a new front nearside caliper for it's MOT (along with many other things...), JK part number J11715 Girling looks like the one I need though it's out of stock, I tried Euro Car Parts they gave me part number 133550071 which looks different but is listed for my van. I asked my local motor factor and they said they need to know whether it's ATE or the other (forgotten the name).
Does anyone know if the Euro ones are the right ones? If anyone can help I promise to drink a beer on their behalf

early brakes to 85 MY were either teves or girling, the difference being the way round and style of little pad retaining pins and different anti rattle plates, late were mostly Girling or v late ATE which use the same pads but slight difference in sliding attachment.
early are twin piston, late are sliding caliper

My 83 has ATE fitted. If the pad retaining pins have a split/spring pin in them then they are Girling according to vagcom.Girling also have a G cast on the outside. Early ones also have square pads

Thanks for the input.
I'm guessing that it doesn't matter what I replace the existing with, as long as both are the same, ie if it's girling at the moment I could just replace them with teves/ate?

Im not 100% sure but don't the mounting bolt positions differ depending on the calipers you have?

Not sure, I'll just have to send them back if I get the wrong ones

easy way to check, pull the dash cowl off and peer at your master cylinder. it will have a sticker on it saying ate etc....
that way no wrong calipers!!
