Hi there - does anyone know whether 16" granada cosworth alloys (6.5J, ET32) would fit on my syncro (14) with a 70 or 75 profile 215 tyre? The PCD is right but I wonder if the offset is generous enough?

More tyre circumference seems to be the most cost effective way of cruising at a better speed (I know it's a subtle difference but hey...)

Trailng arms will almost certainly need modification, back of front wheel arches will be very close.

They do fit on. You need to bore the centers out to clear the hub. they might not be so bad on a syncro.



This is a standard bus, lowered 60mm. The tyres were 195/45x16 on the front.
I seem to remember the wheel nuts not going all the way on. It is an a*** to fit longer studs on the front of a syncro as you need to destroy the wheel bearings & use a fly press to get it back together!

It can be done though. you would have to measure the tyre diameter to see what would fit. You could lift the springs to get more clearance, but again, more work.

The centres do need machining.
Dave Futbus is running them (not sure of tyre size) on his Syncro - and I don't believe he has had to do any other mods to get them to fit.

I'm also running them on my slightly mod'd 14" Sycnro with 225/75/16. Though I don't think these would fit on a standard Syncro without some clearance issues.

I spoke to futbus - he's got 215/65 16s with no mods.

Sonic yours sounds more like what I was hoping for - what mods have you got? If it's just a case of grinding back and welding the trailing arms I'm sure I could manage that. I'm in Brizzle - any chance of a look at some point? In fact, your bus looks rather like mine could if I ever get further down my list of wants...!

It's had the rear arms trimmed and re-strengthened by Futbus. All the arches have then been cut to fit 16" trims, and finally it's been raised using Syncro.Org lift Kit with OMEs

That's no probs if you want to come and have a look. I live in Clevedon.
The van's only here till next Sat - then it's off to Cornwall to get the interior fitted out. I'm around most of this weekend sorting things out on it b4 it goes south.

I am planning on fitting a set of these to my Holdsworth camper. Can anybody tells me how much has to be bored out in middle on them to make them fit?

Dave 'futbus' is your man (I'm sure he can machine them for you too if req'd). I could measure the diameter of mine but I'm not sure how precise that'd be!!

The center bore sizes will be listed on the net somewhere, I am sure I found a load of info after a bit of surfing.

have fitted cosworth wheels to my standard ride height non syncro panel van. With tyres 225 60 16's.
Front bore 36 mm
10mm spacers.
And sleeved colated nuts allround on extended studs.

My T25 Holdworth campervan failed the MOT on a few things. One of them being handbrake & the garage going to inspect the rear shoes for me. Whilst the drums off I want to get the garage to install extended wheel studs, so I can take one step towards fitting my Granada wheels.

Any know what length I require?

Not sure, but to change the front studs I think you have to strip the whole front hub assembly. This will destroy the front bearings from what I have been told.

The rear studs should be easy enough.
