Just Kampers do a standard exhaust to fit the 2.0l CU engine & an alternative with twin tail pipes. Their brochure states that the twin tail pipe exhaust is of poorer quality than the standard one. Iirc the standard one costs around £80 & the other is slightly dearer at around £90. These prices exclude any other bits required.

That's the one, Maxstu. I've just double checked on the JK website & they sell it at £79.95 + p&p which is max. £5.00 for online orders. The one on ebay would be a good buy at £50.00 (buy it now). :D

Alright Mr B Lad,
trouble is the seller doesn't want to post item. Also this is the third time round it's been up for auction....so someone send him an offer!
I've got the same on my '86 DG wasserboxer. Sounds lovely  it does. Kinda a cross between Aircooled and watercooled exhaust noise.

Hi

I have got the non-standard one from JK. Sounds good, but is definately poorer quality. The chrome and both boxes went rusty in around three weeks. Has been on for a year now tho and no holes.

Any help?

the empi dual pack is a waste of money as they rot out rapidly and actually rob engine power. either grab a stock one or have a look at bluebird customs website. they have good quality stainless jobs.

thanx

Hi, if your 2.0 is a cj engine, any type 4 sports exhaust sould fit. I fitted a 'monza' style twin outlet ( tail pipe and silencer either side ) exhaust to a 2.0 bay window. I got better fuel consumption but it did not last as long as a decent quality standard unit. You can get stainless steel single pack units ( expensive ) Happy hunting.

2.0l CJ engine????????

Air cooled engines fitted to T25s:-

1.6l CT, 2.0l CU & 2.0l CV.

There is a water cooled 2.1i DJ but no CJ engine. Is the CJ engine one that was never fitted to a T25 by VW but can be transplanted from another vehicle?

CJs were fitted to the last of the prototypes - different shape exhaust outlets into heatexs and stuff...
