Hi,
I have a secondary engine (which is out of my van at the moment) which starts at cold, but not at all when its warm.
Any suggestions here to reasons for this?
Cheers,
Dave

If it's a petrol with a carb, and an idle bypass cutoff solenoid, it's not working. Try connecting a wire to it.....

Mines the same and it's a brand new engine and turbo. It seems to be when the sencor says it's too hot for the glow plugs and i think it could do with a bit of glow plug.

Try starting it with the cold start pulled on. Mine's a bugger to start when warm. Will fire up at the flick of the switch if the cold start is pulled on. (Have got a new Vege engine, pump etc)

Disconnect the blue/white wire thats clipped onto the sender on the water outlet stub at the back of the cylinder head, this will allow you to have glow plugs when hot, just turn on, count to 5 and start, the glowplugs will come on until you start it so don`t leave the ignition switched on without starting it up.
