Well, after oil spurting out my dipstick last night, i took the van out for a spin just now.

Under load the engine chucks out loads of white smoke and its using oil. Its embarrassing.

So, i kind of figure i need a new engine (its a 1Y 1.9d).

However, has anyone got any top tips that i could check before i terminate the 1Y ?

Can't help with the top tips - Bad luck on the engine

Have you done the obvious like crankcase breather not obstructed.
