If they are original then you need to do nothing other than weld the seat base in place. original seat runners stay in situ.
Thats how my vag Westy ones were.
It should be in three pieces the lowest part is welded to the original seat runners.
hope this helpss.

I have seen them with a set of runners from a scrap chair welded to the plate. Then they just slide in.

I welded tabs onto mine and bolted them to the existing runners.

If you've got the welder out anyway it's just as easy and leaves the runners intact, just in case...

There are holes at the front of each runner and also further back, If they are not in the right place just drill some more!

I drilled 8.5mm holes in the welded on tabs and used M8 high tensile bolts (4) to hold the swivel base on, through the original holes in the runner, Which I enlarged to 8.5mm. The nuts are slid up inside the runner (on the van) till they are under the holes and are held captive there, the bolts need to be cut down till they are about 12mm long so they don't bottom out in the runner before they pull tight.

The "weld in" base sits in exactly the same place as it would were it welded in, and is plenty strong.

The tabs are welded on to suit the holes that are there already and there are no charred paint patches on the van from welding so the structure of the van is unchanged and there are no new sites for rust....
