16" syncro wheels on a t25 Joker?

Has anyone done this yet, I have a 1980 2wd Joker and want to put 16" syncro wheels on it with all terrain tyres.. Spoke to syncrospares and got some wheels but he's not sure what size tyres I can get away with?
Any help please?

Gonna struggle with clearance.. so getting "AT" tyres will be a problem with a lower profile..
the std diameter of a 185r14 is 650mm.. you dont really want to be going a lot bigger.. 680mm is prob about it and then you eed enough power to pull the gearing..
There is a guy on here with a karmann gypsey with some IIRC..
