Clutch Master Cylinder repair

Brake/clutch fluid is leaking out all over driver footwell and I have now determined it is the Clutch master cylinder not the the brakes.

I haven't removed the cylinder yet to examine it but I presume I need either a replacement unit or a repair kit.

Has anyone had experience of a repair kit and any problems encountered?. Would it just be easier to order a replacement unit?.

Thanx. 8)

I had the very same problem last week.

Took out the master cylinder and stripped it down, could not see a kit in JK, Brickwerks or GSF.

Upon further inspection the seals looked ok, but could feel some inperfections in the bore so I purchased a complete new master cylinder from GSF, Cost around £36 I think, ask for the club discount (10%).

JK do a kit for about 8 quid or a replacement for about 32.

I think I need to take the unit off and have a closer look. Just haven't done that yet cos still using van.

iirc the JK repair kit is for the slave not the master.
