Engine bay wiring

I have a E reg crewcab which as you know was sheduled for a cossy V6 but the motor is now crated ready for the next project (which is hopefully going to be another T25 crewcab)

I am going to try and describe what the main issue is without going round in circles. To those who know T25s inside and out hopefully this will make sence.

My crewcab (E reg) had a 1.9DG engine fitted originally that was removed before I purchased it and had the according wiring harness.

I have bought a replacement DG engine, but cannot remember what year of vehicle it was out of.

When you look at the engines there was a coolant system change and the engine I have has two rubber pipes which run from the bottom left-hand-side round the engine bay to the rear upper corner plastic manifild bolted behind the bulkhead. The engine I think that was fitted to my crewcab had a metal pipe which ran from front to back on the left-hand-side.

The main issue at present is that the wiring harness in the crewcab just does not tie up with the engine I have. I pulled the harness out of another E reg T25 panel van and it had wires running to the kit bolted to the rear on the left-hand-side which is part of the coolant system.

I do not really want to pull the engine out of my crewwy and change all these coolant parts, can I graft something together to do what I need, eg can I take the other harness, install it and the wires that ran to the sensors on the back be modified somehow.

Sorry if this does not make sense, I will take phots of the items I am talking about if this would make things clearer tomorrow.

if you have a early vehicle (pre 85) and a late engine (post 85) you can unplug the engine bay wiring loom at the black waterproof box on the firewall and swap looms..... i think thats what you mean?

its easier to swap the engine water system to fit van , than swap the van to fit the engine most times....
