Nice - very professional job.

Whoever's in the red one with white high top, seems a bit obsessed with looking down at his wheels and using the brakes to skid down (dry!) slopes rather than just letting it run down by itself under control. He'd be in serious trouble if it got really muddy and came upon a steep rutted hill to go down

Nice hill climbs, maybe there'll be rain next year - indeed, some UK Syncronauts might bring it with them...

-the guy in the red syncro is Carsten his website http://www.t3syncro16.de/ he travelles with some other guys from the IG16" to africa every year.

-the golf is a standard Golf MK2 syncro. The owner came with a trailer and the "fun syncro" on it. It was impressive to see what you can do with a standard Golf syncro.

Ah, hence the IG16 link on his website. Has he repainted it recently, now looks metallic and not so orange-red as on his site. Or is that the video camera effect?

he only changed the roof. The color is the same, i think this is a camera effect.

Ah yes, the roof is different. Wonder what it is about those wheels that's so fascinating :D

I don't know what is so fascinating about the wheels but an arm out the window = a broken arm in case of a roll-over. Without his seatbelt on AND hanging out of the window it also has the potential to = crushed dead person.

While we might see the occasional burst of over-enthusiasm at our events I'd like to think there was rather more regard to safety....... but then I think the terrain we use is rather more challenging than the site in the video.

It all goes to show the difference in attitudes UK vs continent.

We were first time on this site. It was an ex-site of the German Federal Armed Forces. Main parts of this sites are under conservation.
Normally we have our meetings in Langenaltheim.

oh this door panel is selfmade. Here some more pictures of this old/new doka :)
Before it was a 14inch syncro.

The old one breaks throug on a desert trial in Africa, so they build up a twin. Take a look at these pictures:
