Case inspection

Just split the crankcases on my 1600CT, found both centre main saddles (centre main bearing) are cracked right the way through. Guessing this means the cases are scrap?
Was planning to build a 1776 (got barrels & pistons) but going to have to rethink now. Anybody reckon it would be worth getting new/good 2nd hand cases or go back to buying 2nd hand 2.0 CU and rebuild that.
Cheers

Pretty common on the CT. Another of its little quirks. I'm sure someone on here will have a case that you can get machined. You'll need to check the crank for straightness.

2nd hand case full flowed n line bored on e-bay for £75. Looks to have case savers as well. Seems a decent price if OK do you reckon?

No its a standard universal case. Gather I'm being dumb again, thought they were basically the same apart from oil filter take of on CT.

No CT case is a one off. Keep looking. The last CT I bought on Ebay was £70 complete!

Should have known it wouldn't be that easy. Put some wanted adds out, see if there's any response.
