electric power steering

hi there folks. this is on behalf of me dad cuz he not got pc (caveman) :roll:

Right does anyone know anything about electric power steering?.
he wants to know the usual stuff, price, how easy to fit and most of all can it actually be fitted? (can he do it or is it a garage job).

any help greatly recieved thanx for looking

its a lot of work i`ve not done a t25 (yet) but you need the unit from a breakers then cut and machine the column sourse uni joints to link the unit to the modded column mount the unit and then wire it all up with the ecu and either a speed sensor or a variable switch.

It depends if your on about total electric or a hydro electric system.
hydro electric is the simplest route, not done it myself but the principle is easy.
Bolt on a power rack, bolt on a electro-hydraulic pump (plenty of choice out there, saxo's, 106's etc..) give it power, give it some pipes.....
