BOV is supposed to open if your turbo boosts more than 12psi, it`s a safety device. The pipe from it is supposed to connect back into the air intake pipe somewhere near the turbo inlet, if you`ve an AAZ fitted then the pipework side of things is nayones guess, depends what was used and how it was done. I would`nt worry to much about it, just route the pipe from it somewhere where it won`t get filled with crap and it`ll be fine. If the turbo ever got itself up to boosting 12psi, you`re a lucky chap :D (unless the turbo wastegate stuck shut, then the turbo could make over 20psi, you`d notice this as your van would start to go very fast, but not for long  )
