Alternative steering wheels

I have checked Wiki and searched for related links and could only find one from 2006 with little info.
Is there any steering wheels that can be taken from other vehicles that will fit or can be made to fit our vans.
Thanks
Stu

I don't wish to sound like a knob but could you be a bit more specific with your question, would you like to know which alternative VW steering wheels will fit directly without some sort of modification , OR is the question aimed at any after market steering wheel and boss kit.?
It is a bit of a mine field really and any splined VW wheel can be made to fit starting from such silly prices as 4 quid for a second hand early golf wheel to megga bucks for a tiny wood rim Momo and boss.

all t25 wheels will go striaght on, golfs will ( some need a little mod) infact i think almost all vw ones will fit...
but you have to be fat bloke to manage the golf gti wheel on a t25 without girly, erm i mean power steering

Dont know about that, Im a65K racing snake and manage fine with my Audi wheel, keep getting asked why its on upside down, I chose it that way so the newspaper fits better without holding it!

I fitted a Scirocco wheel to mine.
Much nicer and the slightly smaller size doesn't make my steering too heavy, Even Gill can drive it fine
You do need to swap the horn rings over, not a big job and also scrape a bit of plastic away from the inside of the lower part ( as looking at a fitted wheel ) of the boss, to clear the shroud, again not a big job, I did it with careful scraping with a Stanley knife.
The only other slight disadvantage is at my height ( 6ft ) you cannot see the top bit of the speedo without lowering you head a touch, but I don't find that a problem. Gill is 5ft 6 and doesn't have the same problem.

Mine was on me van when I got it, not sure on the make but, it has a fancy boss thingy and the horn and indicator cancel works fine. It's 360mm dia and there is no way I'd go any smaller as it can be a struggle in car parks etc. and you can't see the instruments properly
I've bought a 'velle wheel to go on at some point, but for now I'll stick to the woody

I'm going to pay the scrappy a visit to see what old VW's are lying about. Hate the big wheel as I cant fit my disklok over it
What tools are required to remove a steering wheel?

Just a big socket, forget what size tho 24 mm comes to mind - and a short extension bar.
Oh and a big hammer !!
