Eberspacher thermal switch green plastic knob thingy

While out camping in the recent inclement weather i discovered that i couldn't turn up the heat on the heater because the end of the green plastic dial/knob had been broken off.(Eberspacher thermostat switch with a see through green plastic dial with numbers 1-7 on it)
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and managed to find a replacement or a good fix?
Thanks for any help you may be able to give.

the know used to be available seperately from VW, now discontinued, someone asked the other week. You can either bodge something to fit or buy a new control :(

Cheers Westy think it'll be a bodge as a new one is about £110,and that's if you can get one.

Other option is a new type thermostat / timer combo unit, they are about £50, will fit in the Westy side panel card where the old unit was, and you have the benefit of the timer programmer :) Fitted one in a Westy last week to operate a D2 unit, looks the part as well. NOT CERTAIN that it`ll work on an old style Westy pancake Eber, but with a look at the wiring diagram etc, it should be possible to work out if it will or not.

Hi Westy
Already have a timer fitted seperately so would probably need to rewire it all to remove the current timer and thermoswitch and replace with combined timer/switch.
If i can bodge it up and keep it all as is it would probably be easier than replacing it all.
Cheers.
