Just had the AA to remove a rounded wheelnut following a flat tyre, and the very nice man advised spaces to push the wheel out a bit (alloys...) so the nuts are easier to access....

Huby thinks he said 20mm?

what are others using? Different front to rear? Same all round?

depends on the wheels.(what are they)if they are carat wheels all you need is the proper nuts(tapered not radiused) if not.you may also need longer studs...are you going to dubfreeze.i have four 10mm spacers in the van im not using.you could try them....

No, they are not carat wheels, and we have done the longer studs, and a thin spacer already (Baxter supplied) when we bought the wheels.

not doing dubfreeze sadly....

How will spacers on the back of the wheel make the nuts easier to undo?

Surely the nuts will still be as close to the wheel as before?

ok...spoke to hubby....yes, the nut will be a close to the wheel, but not as far down the bolt as they are at the moment....which was a problem...the spider wouldn't fit over it properly....

Em. I got some spacers if you want them, think they are about 8mm. Bought them and couldnt use them as needed something a bit 'chunkier'!

Cut the elongated studs down to size.
You should have done that when fitting em.

I did the same myself Em and still havn't sorted it.
