What Tyres. Lowered Caravelle

I have a LoweredT25 Caravelle. Running 17inch Porsche alloys. The van is lowered 60mm and a standard van tyre will not fit (obviously). I'm running 205/45/17 at mo but have been told the tyre load may not be suitable for the van. Anyone any ideas.

not to sure mate but id say a larger wall would be needed or just phone your local tyre depo and im sure they will point you in the right direction

The tyre's load capacity is moulded on the sidewall in the form of "MAX LOAD xxx KG". Take the maximum axle load from the vehicle certification plate (inside the driver's door on the A-post), divide by 2 and there's your required MINIMUM tyre load capacity.
It's unlikely that a 40- or 45-profile tyre will have sufficient load capacity; also for safety reasons, you should be running at least 6PR tyres (reinforced sidewalls) such that the tyre, under explosive deflation conditions, has sufficient sidewall stiffness to stay put on the rim until you've stopped safely. Those tend to be 60-profile or higher, for obvious reasons.
Note that a kosher MoT inspector will fail you if the tyres on your vehicle are not suitably rated for its maximum axle load capacities.
