1991 Microbus

Just got recovered home with bad brakes. The pedal has some resistance but can go all the way to the floor. No obvious leakage. Was fine, parked up to do some shopping and when we came out, brakes were knackered. AA guy guessed master cylinder. Fluid level in resevoir is correct.

What do we think?

i'm surprised

i would have thought opening up a bleed screw and getting the bleed going would be number one on the list -
senor haynes sez -
excessive brake pedal travel -
faulty master cylinder/ air in system/rear brake self adjusting mechanism faulty -

for - brake pedal feels spongy - they have - master cylinder mounting nuts loose - fauty master cylinder - air in system - detoriarated flexible rubber brake hoses -

worth a look before new cylinder?
:?
