my fridge isnt very held in place, ie a block of wood that sort of wedges it in situ, is there a more 'proper' way to keep the fridge in its place? cheers, Josh

from your garage pics I couldn't determine what conversion you have...
however most fridges are held in place with screws into the surrounding furniture, or floor

As his holiness say's ... open the door and look at the surrounding frame, there are at least 4 holes IIRC

On our 87 Autosleeper the fridge is a tight fit in the kitchen unit but still has screws located in the adjacent cupboards. These screw through the cupboard side panel and into locating holes in the outer skin of the fridge. As in the picture:

I see no reason why, if you don't have these that you couldn't add some yourself. Just make sure they're
only just long enough to go through the cupboard side and the thin fridge casing. When I reassembled my kitchen I only bothered to put the top two back. The fridge is still in place even after being rocked around on the Isle of Wight roads!

I've fitted 2 small bolts/latches to the top of my fridge and these push into the furniture either side . dead easy and very secure, plus fridge can come out in a few minutes for service / repairs etc.
