OK I am really sorry

I know I should spend pennies on a decent manual but where is the thermostat in the CS & JK diesel engines

Both of the engines are on my garage floor, stripped but I cannot find the blighter

Its on the water pump housing.Bottom right when fitted to the engine from the rear.
