Oil pressure gauge for 1.9 diesel?

Anyone been here with this one please!?

Thinking of putting a oil pressure gauge on the dash pod so if the 'ole buzzer of doom' decides to throw a wobbly again (as happened last year, but was false one after checks!) at least will know if things are ok or not?

Thing is engine is a 1y, 1.9 diesel (from Seat Toledo), rang justkampers and though although they do lots of gauges for other engines, they don't do it for a 1.9.

Any idea if anyone else does 'em? Any info would be much appreciated  Cheers.

just kampers do a kit that should fit, part number=j 11687 [£84.95 though!!] goes in place of low pressure switch on head [sender has two terminals].you could buy the sender and get the guage from a scrapy?,ive got this arrangement on my van!.
good luck.

older polo, golf, jetta, etc with gauges at your local breaker or bay of fleas are good bet. Some have VDO gauges and senders. I got voltmeter, oil pressure and temp gauges and senders out of one a year ago.

Thanks for your replies guys, much appreciated. Thought there would be other sources out there somewhere?

Don't know why they told me at JK that wouldn't fit :( - thought that £84 sounded like might work Dave when saw it in catalogue/website, thanks for mentioning though). Perhaps it depends who's manning the phone maybe when you pose these questions em?!

Cheers all.
