Anyone Know About Water Pump in Autohomes? Help!

Hoping someone might have an idea about this as I notice a few Autohomes owners out there.
I've got an '88 Kamper and the water pump is under the R and R bed. There's a doorbell push button under the sink which I presume is for the pump but even though the electrickery supply to pump seems fine, nothing happens.
Any help much appreciated. Do I need to prime the system first with a manual pump or something to get it going, or is it a goner?
Cheers

can you hear it making pumpy noises?
is the pump spinning?
if its submersable its not going to need priming, but it may be siezed, get a meter ( or a bulb and wire) and check the power is getting there if you havent already

jc76.............on my '90 Kamper the pump switch is foot operated and mounted on the floor in front of the cupboard that is next to the fridge. It'll work even if the tank and pipes are empty because like mocki says they are submersible pumps.
Not sure if yours is similar or not and I'm no expert but, I'd say that it sounds goosed

Have you ever had it running? As mininuts said, Autohomes usually fit a foot operated button on the floor to the left of the fridge door. Also, if you have a 'zig' unit, that has to be turned on for the camper electrics to work as they're wired through the unit's switch and fuses. Try checking the zig's fuses too if there is one fitted. (the big ones, not the little one for the mains supply)

Cheers Mocki, mininuts and 1664,
The doorbell is def for the water pump as I've followed it through to the pump itself. It must have been fitted by the last owner as it's none too neat but intentions were good. Checked it with a meter too and current runs through fine so guess it's the pump that's given up.
It's a sub one so I'll go looking for a replacement one. Any ideas?
Thanks again for all the help. Am a newbie so really appreciate it.

Oh yeah, I feel honoured. Although it's a Jon not James. That's my bro, and just to add Robert really is my father's brother as a lot of people keep telling me.
Nice camper by the way.
