The starter battery in the van is goosed. However it says old peugot battery on it which suggests the last owners just chucked an old half knackered battery in it.

What size of battery do I need power wise? Was walking past halfrauds and theres were nearly £50!!!

if I knew what size I needed I could then source a cheaper one

PS. The old battery is that ancient their are no longer any marking on it.

83 van, petrol, 1.9

65 amphour you mean?

Does the leisure battery need to be the same size as the starter in a split charge system? or am I barking up the wrong tree?

My battery is under the drivers seat and the most powerful battery that would fit is a 096 though a 065 is what is listed in the catalogues . 065/096 etc refers to the battery type the amphour depends on the battery manufacturer , warranty etc .
Leisure battery size isn't connected to starter battery size .
