Heres an unusual one.
I am looking at puting a Airline in my crewcab with a small tank. I am thinking of a engine driven compressor motor, anybody know if one can be fitted and where I could get on from?

I think Machine Mart sell belt driven compressors separately.

Good call, will give them a shout tomorrow and see if I can get one of these cheap compressor arrangements from somewhere like Aldi or Netto for the tank, rest of it can go in bin, just need tank.

Might consider using a AC compressor for a van. Run the pulley/clutch with a high/low pressure switch and a manual switch to trip compressor on and off to keep pressure in tank.
Have never done this on a VW, but have done it on several service and/or 4x4 rigs so we could run air tools and air up tires. Used York AC compressors at first because they had oil crankcase, but later used whatever AC compressor was available. If using it alot, can add an inline oiler to intake to keep it lubed.
Have also used 12v compressors with motors the size of starter motors. Have to have vehicle running if using much air.... kinda like using an electric winch... need lots of battery to run without engine. Still prefer the AC compressors though.

Going to be doing a lot tyre inflation etc??? cant see the point of an engine driven one.. most of the time it will be causing drag... get a good "4x4" one and hard wire it in.. even one of those from an "air lift kit"m they can have a tank too.....
