Anyone know if the sliding door lock mechanism from any other (ie later) model will go into an early (shallow handle type) van door? The handle's ok it's just the inner mechanism that needs changing. The adjustable bar in particular.

The early&late locking mechanism are not interchangable.Had this problem on my 1990 td1.6 the early would not fit.
