I have just got round to fitting the new aerial that I oredred from ebay...
It's a pilar mount one, but I'm not sure where abouts on the pilar to drill the holes that are required for fitting.

Does anyone have the fitting measurements or a picture they could post?

Cheers
Tim

It's a proper rust trap... my 'Velle is blistering-out from under the aerial base as the rubber seal has perished and let water in. I'd suggest painting the holes you drill with a decent rustproof paint, then sealing the aerial base grommet to the pillar with a good silicone sealer. That should keep the weather out for longer. The same goes for the intermediate support clip, further up the A-post.

I bought a replacement "T25" (sic) aerial on eBay and it turns-out to be the wrong one for a T25; the base is approx 50% bigger (it's actually a Splitty one, I think). Worth checking yours before you drill, perhaps...

I found a replacement for £3 from my local car shop. Don't think they are a specialist part. They aren't the best aerial in the world, but reasonable.

I currently have a whip aerial on the dash at the moment, that does ok, I just thought that a propper one would be better....

tempted to stay with the dash one now!

I'll have a little think! :O)
