do you have a haynes to help in fitting?

the speedo can be second hand item as they are removable ...but the face is riveted on I think.

I can third that about needle being a bugger to remove. It feels likes its stuck at first, but stick with it and just slowly keep trying to prise it off. It WIL go suddenly. Beware though. Although I succesfully removed mine it soon crumbled into a thousand pices, the plastic had suffered from extreme old age !!!!

from playing about with a scrap speedo, the needle seems to be sprung slightly towards the stop pin, if you get what i mean, so if you pulled the needle off surely the shaft would unwind a bit, and when you pushed the needle on again it woud be in a slightly different place, and no longer as acurate? :?
